The Bavarian Games Archive Haar collects and documents table games and related literature. It is based on a corpus of approx. 14,000 games and about 1,000 books from private collections. Here is an overview of all games recorded so far.
The archive was founded on September 23rd 1996 and promotes scientific and cultural purposes. The games are stored in a publicly owned building in Haar, a suburb of Munich.
Once a year, the Bavarian Games Archive organizes the International Game Inventors Fair and supports game authors with some tipps and tricks (Leitfaden für Spieleerfinder - sorry in German only!) and the preservation of evidence.
Furthermore, the Bavarian Games Archiv supports several game conventions in and around Munich and organizes yearly exhibitions in Haar, Aschheim and Germering.
